National Poetry Day
In order to celebrate National Poetry Day, I was given a project by my tutors at University which involved creating a poster that promotes a poem, with the objective of getting young people interested in poetry.

I decided to base my poster around a Haiku by Fukuda Chiyo- Ni that touches on the beauty of nature first thing in the morning. The visual aspect of the poster is very minimal, mirroring the current obsession Japanese culture has with this style. I used a lot of whitespace within this design to give breathing space to the illustrated element in the bottom corner of the design.
