Penguin Competition Brief

This book cover was my submission to the Penguin competition 2019. The cover I designed was for 'Norwegian Wood' by Murakami.

The cover is in the style of a vinyl sleeve, which represents the record Norwegian Wood by The Beatles which features in the beginning of the book. I chose a black and white colour palette because I felt that it expressed the intensity of story, and also aided the contrast of the pattern on the sleeve.
